Getting Serious – Cleanse Day 1

Hello everyone! I know it’s been forever! But I’m back and even though I’ve said that 100 times, this time I mean it!

Emer and I have been enjoying Denver, the skiing has been so fun, but somewhere after our wedding, we both got into a bad habit of forgetting about eating healthy and/or the importance of going to the gym…. which has lead to me realizing we are going on a honeymoon in less than 30 days and I’m a little worried about getting into a bathing suit!!! SO, I happened to be on facebook and there was a lot of buzz about this shake type cleanse that you can do for 30 days.

Now, I didn’t ‘want to go out and jump on a bandwagon that meant I had to purchase everything to be successful at this, so I did my research instead and have decided to do my own take on the fruit/veggie shake cleanse and this will go on for 30 days (well actually, up to our honeymoon which is March 17th)! My goal is to lose a minimum of 5 lbs but I’d take more!

Here are the goals:

- Use only whole fruits and veggies to make fabulous shakes to drink throughout the day. They will replace my breakfast and lunch and I will eat some protein with dinner.

- Trying to stick under 1300 calories a day meaning these shakes have to be lean, mean, and greeeeeen!!!

- Work out at least 4 times a week to actually build some muscle in my muscle-less body!

 

So, let’s get started! I’m hoping that there will be many other benefits to eating lot’s of raw fruits and veggies! :)
